Kawah putih, means white crater
at the height around 2100m, resulted from a volcanic explotion around year 1000 – 1200. and now this crater lake a relatively stable volcanic system, with no records of magmatic or phreatic activity since 1600. there is extensive sulfur-rich sediments on the bottom of the lake.
